The official notification for the FSSAI Food Analyst Examination 2018 – 5th Food Analyst Examination 2018 (5th FAE-2018) & 2nd Junior Analyst Examination 2018 (2nd JAE-2018) has been released. The online registration and application portal is now open. Check out the eligibility criteria, syllabus, application procedure details below :
1. The online applications are encouraged from applicants owning essential educational qualification and 3 years’ experience concerning sub-rule (ii) of Rule 2.1.4 of Food Safety and Standards Rules, 2011 under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2016.
2. Essential Educational Qualification:- The applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Dairy Chemistry or Food Technology, Food and Nutrition or hold Bachelor of Technology in Dairy/Oil or hold degree in Veterinary Sciences in a university determines in India by legislation or is a member of the Institution of Chemists (India) by evaluation at the section of Food Analysts conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India) or another equivalent qualification accepted and notified by the Central government for these purposes.
. Essential Experience:- The candidate must have not less than three years of expertise in the analysis of food.
4. Age Limit:- there’s not any age limitation for appearing in the 5th FAE 2018.
5. Reservation:- there’s not any reservation in whatsoever form because this isn’t for employment.
6. Fee:- Rs. 2000/- non-refundable through online mode along with the application.
7. The candidates that qualify Paper-I and Paper-II (Theory paper) according to the laid down standards will only be permitted to appear in Paper-III (Practical).
2nd Junior Analyst Examination 2018 (2nd JAE-2018)
1. Keeping in view of the lack of food testing employees and also to promote the new postgraduate to possess job prospects, in Food Industry/ Food testing labs, for them take up Food Analyst as a livelihood after obtaining required analytical expertise, the Board included by FSSAI made a decision to conduct the Junior Analyst Assessment along with the routine Food Analyst Examination.
2. Essential Educational Qualification:- The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Dairy Chemistry or Food Technology, Food and Nutrition or Food Science or Food Science and Nutrition or hold Bachelor of Technology in Dairy/Oil/Food or hold degree in Veterinary Sciences from a university establishes in India by legislation or is a member of the Institution of Chemists (India) by evaluation in the section of Food Analysts conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India) or another equivalent qualification accepted and advised by the Central government for these purposes.
3. Essential Experience:- No expertise is needed.
4. Age Limit:- Junior Food Analyst Examination Candidates age limit is a maximum 28 years. For SC/ST class the maximum age is 33 years and also for OBC class the maximum age is 31 years.
5. Reservation:- there’s not any reservation in whatsoever form because this isn’t for employment.
6. Fees:- Rs. 1500 non-refundable through online mode along with the application.
7. The Junior Analyst following obtaining 3 years compulsory knowledge in the analysis of food might appear just in Paper-III (practical Examination) as and when conducted in future. The chance for emerging in Paper-III (Practical) for Junior Analysts after obtaining 3 years of expertise is going to be provided only once. Upon qualifying Paper-III evaluation, the Junior Analyst will be eligible to be declared as Food Analysts under FSSR 2011.
How to Apply:
(i) Candidate can apply only for a single examination i.e., possibly for 5th Food Analysts Exam, 2018 (5th FAE, 2018) or for 2nd Junior Analyst Examination, 2018 (2st JAE, 2018).
(ii) Candidates applying for 2nd JAE, 2018 will need to appear only for Theory Papers — I and II, whereas candidates applying for 5th FAE, 2018 will also need to appear for Paper III (Practical examination ) after clearing the theory papers I & II according to laid down standards.
(iii) Applications must be filed only through internet mode. Applications submitted through any other manner won’t be considered.
(iv) Prior to submitting up the online application form, please make sure satisfaction of essential educational qualification and expertise, as the case might be.
(v) No relaxation in the Educational Qualifications and/or expertise is admissible.
(vi) The examination fee is to be submitted only through online mode. Fees submitted through any other manner won’t be accepted.
(vii) There will be no refund of fees at any point. If the fee is filed for a single application over once, then the surplus fee will be reimbursed.
(viii) Selection of examination centre is offered in the online form. However, examination facility might be changed if an adequate number of applicants isn’t readily available for a specific exam centre.
NOTE: EXAMINATIONS AREN’T FOR PROVIDING EMPLOYMENT BY FSSAI.
